Medical Laboratory Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory testing and procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description:
  • Perform and supervise blood collection and dispatch specimens to the laboratory in accordance with laboratory protocols and standard universal precautions.
  • Navigate the Laboratory Information System to perform functions such as order entry, sample receipt, result query, and result entry.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve workflow and processes of the section.
  • Perform laboratory tests or POCT if assigned, and undertake preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and safety equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in performing venipuncture for blood specimen collection and 3 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supervising a team.
  • Basic computer literacy in proficiency in laboratory information systems.
