Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the Group Compliance, AML Advisory team as a subject matter expert. Key responsibilities include delivering the compliance agenda, conducting reviews of high-risk customers, and providing advice on AML controls and procedures.
The role requires expertise to provide guidance on AML/CFT policies and procedures, as well as monitoring developments in related laws, regulations, and risk trends. The individual will handle requests from regulatory bodies, internal and external audits, and participate in AML-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Team Lead in driving the compliance agenda.
- Conduct reviews of high-risk customers to ensure adherence to AML controls and procedures.
- Provide expert advice on AML/CFT policies and procedures.
- Monitor developments in AML-related laws, regulations, and risk trends.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or professional qualification in business or banking/financial services related areas.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience in AML/CFT/Sanction compliance functions with a focus on private banking/retail banking.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
