Senior Research Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Staff Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized, specialized care to patients in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
The job holder will assist in the recruitment, support and care of patients for research studies under the guidance of study Principal Investigators.
Responsibilities
1. Assess patients' needs on admission and daily throughout their hospital stay.
2. Plan and implement patient care according to the assessed needs.
3. Evaluate and monitor patients' progress according to the planned care.
4. Document care and monitor outcomes on established charts/forms.
5. Carry out treatments and investigations as prescribed by physicians.
6. Communicate and discuss patients' progress and response to treatment with physicians, nursing and allied health colleagues involved in the patient care.
7. Follow-up to ensure continuity of patient care and treatment plans.
8. Deliver safe and competent nursing care.
9. Participate actively in physicians' rounds.
10. Prepare and assist physicians with procedures done on patients.
11. Collaborate and co-operate with physicians and other healthcare providers in the smooth delivery of patient care and services.
12. Demonstrate clinical skills, knowledge and critical thinking in the delivery of patient care.
13. Display compassion, a positive and caring attitude towards patients as well as to internal and external clients.
14. Provide patient/family information and education on disease prevention, health education and rehabilitation techniques.
15. Demonstrate proper use and care of equipment.
16. Demonstrate proper and economical usage of consumables and supplies.
17. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
1. Diploma in Nursing or Degree in Nursing from recognized training institution as approved by the Singapore Nursing Board.
2. Preferably 5 years of post-registration clinical experience, of which 2 years must be as Senior Staff Nurse II.
3. Fluent in spoken and written English.
4. Computer literate in Microsoft Word/Excel.
5. Possesses good inter-personal and supervisory skills.
6. Display compassion and have a positive and caring attitude.
