AI Standards Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Standards Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing AI standards that drive the Singapore digital economy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication engineering or a relevant discipline, with a proven track record of technical expertise and experience in AI standardisation works. They will also possess excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement and manage work within the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) standards programme
  • Undertake engagement/collaborative proceedings with industry members to develop national artificial intelligence standards
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on adoption and implementation of standards, technical references, guidelines and/or best practices
  • Keep abreast of developments in the policy domain and standards in global landscape and industry
  • Participate and advance Singapore's position in international AI standardisations
Requirements:
  • Background in Communication Engineering or relevant disciplines
  • Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated interest and willingness to learn and understand new technologies
  • Good understanding of info-communication domains such as AI, machine learning, etc.
  • Familiar with info-communication standardisation works will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant field(s)
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Team player, with good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Self-driven, agile, and able to operate in evolving environment
