Eye Care Professional Job Description

The main role of an eye care professional is to provide top-notch services and advice to customers. This involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, vision tests, and prescribing corrective measures tailored to each customer's specific needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers with their optical measurements and fittings for a seamless shopping experience.
  • Providing expert guidance on lens options and frame designs to meet customers' unique needs and preferences.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations in the optical industry.

Main Responsibilities (continued):

  • Conducting eye examinations and vision tests to diagnose visual and ocular conditions accurately.
  • Prescribing corrective measures tailored to each customer's specific needs and providing education on proper eye care and product use.
  • Collaborating with the retail team to recommend suitable eyewear solutions that cater to customers' lifestyle and preferences.

Requirements:

  • Nitec in Opticianry for opticians or a Diploma in Optometry recognized by OOB for optometrists.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply, with training provided to support their growth and development within the role.
