The position of Senior Head/Senior Manager is a key appointment in the University Policy Branch, Higher Education Policy Division. As part of a dynamic team, you will be involved in the formulation, review, and implementation of policies to develop the higher education landscape in Singapore.
This role offers an in-depth understanding of the Autonomous Universities (AUs) sector, opportunities to work closely with AUs, other government agencies, and stakeholders, as well as an appreciation of various policy and operational considerations in social and economic domains.
Key Responsibilities:- Policymaking: Formulate, review, and implement policies concerning the AU sector, including governance, funding, educational pathways, course offerings, and student engagement.
- Strategic Planning: Conduct long-term strategic planning for the AU sector to prepare AUs and students for future challenges.
- Operational Guidance: Guide AUs on operationalizing policies and coordinate with other MOE divisions for support.
- International Collaborations: Assess opportunities and represent the AU sector's interests in international collaborations related to university education.
- Support Functions: Support MOE political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, analytical, quantitative, written, and communication skills.
- Resourcefulness: Resourcefulness and intellectual curiosity.
- Macro-to-Operational Perspective: Ability to consider perspectives from macro to operational levels.
