Job Title: Civil Engineer - Commuter Facilities

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in managing, maintaining, and designing commuter facilities such as covered linkways, pedestrian overhead bridges, pedestrian underpasses, footbridges, and bus/taxi/pick up drop off shelters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of these facilities for public use at all times.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and supervise commuter facilities inspection/maintenance contracts to ensure safety requirements for on-site activities.
  2. Lead the preparation of tender specifications and carry out quantity/quality audit checks on works on site.
  3. Review construction drawings and provide professional advice to developers, consultants, and other government agencies on development submissions/projects related to maintenance of commuter facilities.
  4. Manage feedback from the public, other government agencies, and private developers.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and possess good project management and organisational skills.
  • Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of common civil construction materials such as reinforced concrete, steel, asphalt, etc., preferred.
  • Relevant experience in commuter facilities construction, handling of customer feedback, GIS, productivity, and automation tools will be an advantage.
