Job Title: Consultant, Molecular Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant, Molecular Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of precision medicine in our region.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and supervising molecular laboratory operations, including test reporting and new test development
  • Working with the department's HOD and Head of Lab Sciences to advance laboratory operations
  • Enhancing department's diagnostic capabilities through innovation and strategic initiatives
  • Driving quality assurance and ensuring adherence to accreditation standards
  • Clinician with clinical and operation exposure in a clinical lab environment is preferred

Requirements:
  • Possess a basic degree from a recognized medical school or Postgraduate (MBBS/MD) which is registrable with the relevant authorities
  • Completed the training and post-graduate qualifications (RCPath/FRCPA/Molecular Genetic Pathology certification by American Board of Pathology or equivalent) which are recognized by the relevant authorities
  • Pre-existing experience (preferably 5+ years) working in a clinical laboratory
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in area of specialty (exp. relevant experience in molecular genetics) and expertise in managing complex medical problems and complications
  • Able to work independently with demonstrated competence in managing patients, teaching and research in a multi-discipline environment
  • Confident, takes initiatives and a good team player
