About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager with expertise in lifting operations to join our team at Samsung C&T Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a challenging role that combines construction management and lifting engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the construction activities and progress, planning, implementing, and monitoring work to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Schedule construction activities according to master and detailed work programmes, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimizing delays.
  • Liaise with Professional Engineers on temporary works, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are in place and that work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate site activities with subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Handle technical and engineering problems, providing guidance and support to supervisors as needed to ensure that construction activities proceed smoothly.
Site Engineer Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • Maintain quality standards, carry out site inspections, and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure that construction activities meet the required standards.
  • Prepare reports and method statements as needed to ensure that project stakeholders are informed of progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Manage and control workers, monitoring their work closely to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Supervise ongoing site activities closely, identifying and mitigating potential risks and hazards to ensure project success.
Lifting Engineer Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, supervising, and liaising closely with the construction team on all lifting activities to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Preparing, developing, and reviewing lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safe work procedures for all lifting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Daily walkabouts around assigned areas of the site to monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental operating procedures and identify any areas for improvement.
  • Preparation and review of lifting plans, coordination with site lifting supervisors, riggers, and signalmen, and being the focal point for all site lifting operations to ensure seamless execution.
  • Performance of discipline checks for procedures and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction project management, preferably in Singapore underground projects, D/wall, and other structural works.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in LTA underground or MRT projects.
  • Experience in managing D/wall and Borepiling.
  • A valid Lifting Engineer certificate (for applicants to the Site cum Lifting Engineer position).
  • Ability to work a 5.5D week schedule.
