About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our Commodities Trading team in Singapore. As a Commodities Broker Trainee, you will be responsible for building up your knowledge and skills in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor market trends and developments closely to provide valuable insights to clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of underlying commodities and keep up-to-date with new products and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their business objectives and provide a reliable and efficient broking service.
  • Manage and execute client orders in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities relating to market and client activity trends.
  • Keep trade records up-to-date.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks assigned by superiors, including ad hoc reporting, research, and client communications.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly energetic, motivated, and enjoy doing sales and business development.
  • Prior broking or financial experience is an advantage.
  • Fast and accurate with numbers.
  • Team player with strong rapport-building skills.
  • Selected candidates are required to pass the necessary CMFAS/FMRP Examinations.
