This role is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and strategic individual to manage risk for ferrous product sets within group risk appetite and defined limits while generating positive returns.

  • Contribute to product trading capability to support liquidity for clients
  • Manage Marex market risk for product set within group risk appetite and defined risk limits whilst generating positive returns
  • Work efficiently and support making efficiencies by collaborating with data, research, and analytics colleagues to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients
  • Collaborate with sales/broking functions to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions, with a cross-product selling mindset
  • Collaborate with central operations functions which support the trading role including but not limited to Operations and Technology
  • Strategize to increase P&L and achieve target set by desk manager, requiring ongoing analysis of markets and products in the market
  • Ensure compliance with the company's regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct reflecting Company Values
  • At all times complying with the MAS Code of Conduct

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proactive mindset in keeping up to date with market research and incorporating into role efficiently
  • Analytical skills identifying opportunities and risks in a quick and decisive manner
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in and knowledge of a commodity product area
  • Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support commodity business lines
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
  • Experience in operating on electronic market making infrastructure
  • Experience in risk managing of commodity portfolios

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
