A well-established shipping company is seeking a professional with experience in chartering and operations to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced individual who can ensure optimal utilization of our existing fleet of tankers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to coordinate with Masters, agents, and customers to ensure smooth tanker operations.

The successful candidate will also be involved in claims matters and negotiations of chartering contracts. Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing voyage performance reports for management reviews.

We require the selected individual to invite and obtain quotations from shipping agencies, compare and negotiate agency rates, and monitor and liaise with agents on tanker movements. They will also be responsible for arranging pilots for Singapore inward and outward passages, advising and monitoring vessel operation status, and preparing vessels for loading and discharging operations.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will report to charterers on tanker operation status and follow up with customers on payment matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • a Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Commerce/Logistics Management or equivalent;
  • minimum 2 years of chartering/operations/post fixture experience with shipowners, charterers, or shipbrokers;
  • experience in commercial aspects of ship operations and management.
