Optical Lens Specialist Job

This role involves handling the precise cutting and shaping of prescriptions lenses into customers' frames, ensuring the finished spectacle is in excellent condition before sending it to customers.

The key tasks include:

  • Receiving and unpacking lenses from envelopes, thoroughly inspecting their condition.
  • Utilizing a lensometer to verify lens power accuracy and marking the optical center and axis according to customer specifications.
  • Operating precision machinery to obtain lens shape and size.
  • Expertly edging lenses using specialized equipment and mounting them on customers' frames.
  • Employing drilling and grooving machines for Rimlon and Rimless frame requirements.
  • Retouching or chamfering lenses by machine or hand when necessary.
  • Conducting quality checks on each job to meet industry standards before sending it to customers.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness of machines and accessories to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing regular maintenance and calibration on time to prevent equipment malfunction.
  • Keeping the workplace organized and clutter-free.
