Job Title:

Research Associate

A Research Associate is sought to assist in the development, execution and analysis of research projects aimed at addressing challenges of working in hot temperatures.

The role will involve assisting senior researchers in designing and conducting studies on heat acclimatization and chronic heat exposure.

  • Assisting with literature searches and summarizing key information
  • Designing and conducting relevant quantitative studies
  • Leading data collection and wet laboratory experiments
  • Establishing and managing large databases
  • Interpreting and analyzing data
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with senior researchers to develop new research ideas
  • Performing biological sampling (e.g., blood, urine, sweat), sample processing and wet laboratory assays
  • Contributing to conference presentations and writing papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborating across teams, contributing to multiple research projects at once
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Exercise Science, Physiology, or equivalent
  • Strong laboratory-based background with demonstrated practical laboratory-based experience
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and methods
  • Proven knowledge of data collection methods and laboratory safety protocols
