ERP Transformation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced ERP transformation specialist to lead the development and integration efforts for a high-impact security management project.

This role demands deep expertise in Dynamics NAV (2009–2018) and D365 Business Central, strong hands-on AL and C/AL development skills, and the ability to architect robust, scalable, and secure ERP solutions that integrate seamlessly with external systems.

• Design and Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom modules and enhancements in Dynamics NAV and Business Central to support security operations and ERP workflows.
• Tech Solutions: Architect and implement technical solutions based on functional specs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Business Central Extensions: Develop Business Central Extensions using AL and legacy customizations using C/AL in Classic NAV environments.
• Data Integrations: Build and maintain data integrations and two-way syncs between NAV/BC and external systems including CRM, RPA tools, and barcode scanners.
• Web Services Integration: Configure and consume SOAP and OData web services, along with JSON/XML exchanges for real-time integration with third-party applications.
• Automation Logic: Implement dimension-based automation logic, workflow triggers, and business rule enforcement within NAV/BC.
• Reporting and Analytics: Design and deploy SSRS reports, account schedules, and develop Power BI dashboards for real-time KPI and operational insights.
• Deployment and Maintenance: Manage NAV/BC deployments across Azure, SaaS Plaza, and on-premise infrastructures.
• Server and Cloud Environment: Oversee server and cloud environment management, ensuring high availability and performance.
• UAT Coordination and Go-Live Support: Lead UAT coordination, cut-over planning, and provide go-live and post-deployment support.
• Error Resolution and Debugging: Perform issue resolution, debugging, bug fixes, and performance tuning for custom ERP modules.
• User Training and Documentation: Work closely with business users and stakeholders for requirements gathering, system validation, and ongoing support. Deliver user training sessions, create documentation including SOPs and user manuals.
• Mentorship and Code Reviews: Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices for AL/CAL development, coding standards, and solution architecture. Participate in code reviews, technical workshops, and internal innovation initiatives.

• Experience: Min 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 8 years in Dynamics NAV (2009–2018) and Dynamics 365 Business Central development.
• Dynamics Expertise: Deep knowledge of AL, C/AL, C/SIDE, and the Modern Development Environment for Business Central.
• SQL Server Skills: Strong command of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and data modeling concepts.
• Web Services Integration: Proven experience with web services integration, API management, OData/SOAP, JSON/XML, and third-party system connections.
• SSRS Reporting and Power BI: Expertise in SSRS Reporting, Power BI dashboards, and account schedules within NAV/BC.
• Barcode Scanner Integration: Familiarity with barcode scanner integration, sales/purchase automation, and pricing engines.
• Azure, SaaS Plaza, or On-Prem Deployment: Experience deploying and managing NAV/BC in Azure, SaaS Plaza, or on-prem environments.
• Custom Module Development: Proficient in custom module development, ERP process design, and security framework implementation.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration, documentation, and training delivery.
• Powershell Scripting and DevOps Tools: Experience with PowerShell scripting, DevOps tools, and version control (optional but beneficial).
• Certifications: Microsoft Certifications related to Dynamics NAV / Business Central, SQL Server, or Azure Cloud.
• C# for External Integrations: Working knowledge of C# for external integrations (optional but preferred).
• Security Management and Compliance: Experience in security management, compliance-heavy environments, or government/regulated industries is an advantage.
