Job Description:

This role involves managing the pricing strategy for container shipping and freight-forwarding operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting minimum rate guidelines based on market outlook to maximize revenue contribution
  • Assisting in planning and executing pricing strategies, analyzing and evaluating market trends to ensure timely communication of price and space strategies to agents/offices
  • Handling ad-hoc rate requests from overseas agencies and offices

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing fixed space utilization, sourcing and coordinating with third-party slot providers, and ensuring that market freight is in line with gathered intelligence. Additionally, they will manage new account/customer relationships to gain more business.

Requirements:
  • Around 2-3 years of working experience in the container shipping or freight-forwarding industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Tertiary education and above, preferably in shipping, logistics management, or business administration

We offer a competitive salary of SGD $80,000 - SGD $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
