Aquaponics and Hydroponics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aquaponics and Hydroponics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our aquaponics and hydroponics systems.

">About the Role:

This is a field-focused role that requires working outdoors for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sustainable agriculture practices and a passion for learning about aquaponics and integrated farming systems.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot aquaponics and hydroponics systems, including pumps, water tanks, filters, and grow beds.">
  • Monitor system parameters (pH, temp, Ammonia, Nitrates, etc) daily and take corrective action as necessary.">
  • Feed and observe fish health, seed, plant, prune, and harvest crops, maintain planting, harvesting, and yield records.">
  • Assist with pest and disease control and manage waste responsibly.">
  • Support public engagement and education activities, including hosting tours and workshops for staff, the public, and other stakeholders.">
">Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields (or a closely related field): Environmental Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering.">

  • You should also be comfortable working in outdoor environments, standing for long hours, and able to communicate technical and complex information to a variety of audiences.
