Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Professional to join our team as a Senior HSE Engineer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) strategies and programs.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and results-driven individual to make a real impact on our company's safety performance and contribute to our ongoing success.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining and improving the effectiveness of our HSE management system, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement corrective actions, and monitor progress.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with colleagues at all levels, from front-line workers to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve the effectiveness of our HSE management system.
  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and programs that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters, including process safety, environmental protection, and occupational health.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and awareness of HSE best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Chemical Engineering).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the chemical or oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HSE management systems, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software and other relevant tools (e.g., SAP, EHS Management Systems).
