  • Quantity Take-off: Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor required for MEP installations, collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments.
  • Budgeting and Cost-control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring and reporting on cost variations, and providing recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process, evaluating subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
  • Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims, monitoring contractual compliance, and resolving any disputes that may arise during the project.
  • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality, working closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues, developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status, providing analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders, participating in project meetings, and contributing to the overall success of the project.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction, staying updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices.
  • Ad-Hoc: Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work, performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related working experience in industrial, commercial, or data-center projects.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical, organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible, good communication and facilitation skills, ability to work well in a team, independently, and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
