Housekeeping Associate Job Description

As a Housekeeping Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel guests. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the high standards of housekeeping in guest rooms, corridors, linen rooms, and cupboards.

Your duties will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, corridors, linen rooms, and cupboards according to brand standards;
  • Maintaining equipment cleanliness and repair;
  • Counting linens delivered from vendors to ensure all are in order;
  • Delivering amenities from store to pantry and to guests according to brand standards;
  • Replenishing guest supplies;
  • Washing bed linens;
  • Maintaining a section room report and daily room checklist;

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Attending meetings and training sessions as required;
  • Liaising with Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor regarding chemical usage, problems or rectification suggestions;
  • Reporting damage or malfunction in hotel rooms to superior;
  • Responding effectively to emergencies;
  • Completing tasks assigned by management or supervisors;
  • Reporting lost and found items and guest complaints immediately.
Requirements and Qualifications

Primary education or equivalent is required, with some housekeeping experience preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are essential for interacting professionally with guests and staff.
