Key Motor Business Development Manager Job Opportunity

This role presents an excellent opportunity to leverage your underwriting expertise in motor insurance and work closely with Underwriters and Financial Advisors to drive business growth.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct thorough underwriting of new motor business in accordance with established guidelines and objectives.

  • Liaise with intermediaries and insureds on motor insurance matters, providing expert advice and support as required.

  • Review renewal policies with claims records to ensure optimal outcomes and align with company targets.

  • Monitor and review portfolios, including those managed by Financial Advisors, to drive profitable growth.

  • Support the Team Lead Underwriter for Team 2 matters, as needed.

  • Assist other Underwriters in attending to direct queries and taking ownership of delegated tasks.

  • Additional responsibilities may include liaising with internal stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of underwriting experience in motor insurance.

  • Hold relevant qualifications, such as MAS-required certifications, to advise on insurance matters.

  • Demonstrate strong people skills to manage teams effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, tact, and patience are essential in handling clients in a competitive class of business.

  • Proven ability to multitask, work independently, and interact with different levels of customers.

  • Possess the willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances.
