Perioperative Nurse Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Nurse to join our team in the Operating Theatre.

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent nursing skills and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care, assisting during surgical procedures, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating theatre environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and other medical staff during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Document surgical procedures, patient information, and intraoperative care accurately and timely.
  • Manage surgical supplies inventory and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in the preoperative assessment and postoperative care of patients.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate nursing care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with relevant nursing board registration (e.g. Singapore Nursing Board).
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
  • Prior experience (typically minimum 1-2 years) in operating theatre or perioperative nursing preferred.
