Research Engineer for Digital Trust Hub

Nanyang Technological University's National Centre for Research in Digital Trust (DTC) invites applications for a Research Engineer I position to contribute to our mission of creating a trusted digital environment for people and businesses. As a member of our research team, you will collaborate with industry partners to develop innovative solutions using AI safety and trust technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machine learning, software engineering principles, and cloud platforms. Proficiency in languages such as C/C++, Python, and experience with Linux and shell scripting are essential. Familiarity with Git, collaborative development tools, and end-to-end ML system development is advantageous. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills, along with a good understanding of ethical AI practices, are required.

  • Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and machine learning framework such as PyTorch/TensorFlow.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning techniques.
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) experience required.
  • Familiarity with Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC), Homomorphic Encryption (HE), and Federated Learning (FL) is a plus.
