Job Title: Senior Design Coordinator

Job Description

As a senior design coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and oversee the design process, ensuring that all aspects of the project are properly aligned and integrated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment between C&S designs and other disciplines.
  • Review and provide input on civil and structural design drawings and documentation.
  • Assist QP(D) and C&S Engineers in resolving Design/Detailing issues.
  • Ensure the integration of C&S designs with the architectural and M&E (mechanical & electrical) systems.
  • Conduct design coordination meetings with consultants and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor design progress, RFI/RFA/Shopdrawings to ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents for construction.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a civil and structural engineer, with at least 4 years in design coordination and supervision of works similar in nature to major construction projects.
  • Proven experience in C&S engineering for large-scale projects involving deep excavation, cut-and-cover tunnel and building works.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
  • In-depth knowledge of C&S design principles, site supervision, quality control procedures, and construction administration.
  • Familiarity with statutory codes, regulatory requirements, and best practices for engineering works in Singapore.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
