Senior BMS Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BMS Engineer to oversee the implementation of Building Management Systems (BMS) across various construction projects.

  • Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of BMS systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, supervise installations, testing and commissioning activities to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, I/O schedules and control drawings to meet industry standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans, allocating resources effectively, tracking timelines and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate compliance with local codes, regulations and workplace safety standards at all times.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of components and services.
  • Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide effective technical solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in system handover, testing and final commissioning of BMS systems to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in BMS/ELV/M&E project engineering roles.
  • Previous experience working in construction project environments in Singapore is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS systems, including Siemens, Schneider and Honeywell.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, ACMV, fire alarm, lighting control and energy management systems.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, schematics and technical documentation effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently, manage multiple projects and lead site execution teams successfully.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PLC and SCADA programming, as well as BACnet and Modbus protocols.
  • Proficiency in preparing project documentation for regulatory requirements.
  • Availability of personal transportation is an advantage.
