  • This is a research position that requires developing statistical learning and machine learning models to understand the impact of climate change on infectious diseases and chronic diseases.
  • You will conduct literature reviews and lead analysis of global climate model data and large-scale population level data using statistical learning and machine learning techniques.
  • As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the writing of reports, presentations, and publications of analysis findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills will enable you to collaborate with researchers in other national and international institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement statistical learning and machine learning models to analyze climate change impacts on infectious diseases and chronic diseases
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and analyze global climate model data and large-scale population level data
  • Lead the writing of reports, presentations, and publications of analysis findings
  • Collaborate with researchers in other institutions to generate research questions and develop research projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Masters or equivalent degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, biomedical engineering)
  • Background and research experience in epidemiology, public health, or life sciences
  • Strong interest in infectious diseases and health data science
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in R and ability to work effectively in teams
