We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our team at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with our faculty members to investigate health issues related to climate change, clinical epidemiology, and infectious diseases.
">- This is a research position that requires developing statistical learning and machine learning models to understand the impact of climate change on infectious diseases and chronic diseases.
- You will conduct literature reviews and lead analysis of global climate model data and large-scale population level data using statistical learning and machine learning techniques.
- As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the writing of reports, presentations, and publications of analysis findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills will enable you to collaborate with researchers in other national and international institutions.
- Develop and implement statistical learning and machine learning models to analyze climate change impacts on infectious diseases and chronic diseases
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and analyze global climate model data and large-scale population level data
- Lead the writing of reports, presentations, and publications of analysis findings
- Collaborate with researchers in other institutions to generate research questions and develop research projects
- Masters or equivalent degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, biomedical engineering)
- Background and research experience in epidemiology, public health, or life sciences
- Strong interest in infectious diseases and health data science
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in R and ability to work effectively in teams
