Job Summary:

Oracle Analytics Server & ODI Upgrade Specialist

As a seasoned upgrade specialist, you will be responsible for leading the migration of OBIEE and ODI environments to the latest versions of Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and ODI. This involves upgrading OBIEE to OAS, upgrading the existing ODI platform, planning and executing the migration of multiple instances in parallel with minimal downtime, and conducting environment benchmarking pre- and post-migration to validate performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upgrading OBIEE to Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
  • Upgrading the existing ODI platform to the latest supported version
  • Planning and executing the migration of multiple instances in parallel with minimal downtime
  • Conducting environment benchmarking pre- and post-migration to validate performance
  • Performing stress testing and full-load execution to ensure post-upgrade stability

Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing the infrastructure to host the upgraded OAS and ODI environments, implementing high availability and DR setup for production readiness, and recommending architectural changes including whether to co-locate or separate OBIEE and ODI services.

You will also configure LDAP and SSO within WebLogic Server, collaborate with identity and security teams to ensure smooth authentication integration, and validate that OCI Key Vault is not required, in line with existing cloud infrastructure policies.

Furthermore, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders and Oracle support for a seamless transition, prepare comprehensive documentation covering architecture, performance benchmarks, and migration steps, deliver knowledge transfer, and provide post-upgrade support during the AMS phase.
