Key Culinary Team Member Job Description:

A Key Culinary Team Member supports the culinary team in preparing and presenting dishes. Their duties include cleaning, cutting, chopping, peeling, and washing food ingredients. The ideal candidate should be able to work well under pressure, manage time effectively, and maintain high standards of quality.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assist the culinary team in food preparation activities such as cooking, roasting, and baking.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas according to company hygiene codes and health and safety standards.
  • Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen utensils and equipment properly.
  • Manage inventory, unloading supplies, and organizing the storeroom.
  • Participate in programs designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop new menu items and improve existing ones to increase customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant management principles.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the culinary industry an asset.
