Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Model Governance Specialist, responsible for overseeing model governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable organization in the Banking sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Governance, Model Governance, and BCBS 239. They will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive inventory of all models used within the APAC region, ensuring that the model lifecycle is implemented for all in-scope models, and facilitating communication between various departments regarding model usage and governance issues.

This role requires excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work under tight timelines on multiple projects, and have a strong sense of ownership of outcomes. Experience in Model Validation is a plus.

About the Role
  • Maintain model governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all models used within the APAC region.
  • Ensure that the model lifecycle is implemented for all in-scope models.
  • Facilitate communication between various departments regarding model usage and governance issues.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee data management processes to maintain data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT to establish data standards and best practices across the APAC region.
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and compliance adherence.
  • Manage metadata repositories and data catalogs using technical knowledge of data flows.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent with experience in Financial Institutions in Data Governance, Model Governance, and BCBS 239.
  • Good project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership of outcomes.
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Able to work under tight timelines on multiple projects.
