Automated Test Systems (ATS) Job Description

  • A comprehensive overview of ATS is crucial for users with specific testing requirements. The Quantel Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in implementing ATS, handling software tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Pre-Project Responsibilities
  • The Software Engineer participates in pre-sales processes for ATS, evaluating the cost Bill of Materials (BOM) and project schedule for software integration.
  • The engineer discusses and defines test purposes, requirements, and acceptance conditions with clients.
In-Project Responsibilities
  • Hardware:
    • The Software Engineer conducts Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Software:
    • The engineer programs on Chroma's exclusive testing platforms (SMPS ATS8000 / BatteryPro).
    • They develop programs based on user test requirements, regulations, and instrument configurations.
    • The Software Engineer conducts regulation studies to ensure compliance.
Post-Shipment Responsibilities
  • The Software Engineer provides online remote support and onsite technical assistance, including system installation, site acceptance testing, and training.
  • They follow up on technical issues, providing professional advice or troubleshooting support.
Requirements
  • Strong foundational knowledge of programming language and electronic circuit principles.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and dynamic individuals.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for technical support.
  • Ability to communicate with the Taiwan headquarters.
