About the Role

Apollo Management Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Regional Business Development Director - Asia. This key role will be responsible for leading business management functions, working closely with the COO organization and Head of APAC Institutional Client Group on day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to cultivate senior stakeholder relationships, and a strong understanding of alternatives, particularly private credit and equity. They will also possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of articulating complex operational processes in layman terms.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Partner with the ICG COO/Global COO team and APAC Head of ICG to develop and execute strategic business plans for institutional fundraising in the region.
    • Oversee progress on team initiatives and projects that optimize the sales model, ensure best practices, and establish regional market business plans.
    • Ensure consistent updates, manage business reporting cadence, and drive progress and execution.
  • Coordination & Business Management
    • Provide input into Asia regional reporting, manage weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings, anticipate issues, and track follow-ups.
    • Work closely with the head of Asia and the Asia regional COO team to ensure goals and initiatives are aligned across the region.
    • Coordinate content/client-engagement at conferences/events and broader branding events in the region.
    • Track business and individual KPIs, assist the head of ICG in performance management, and own reporting process for Asia sales team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of prior fund raising and/or investment experience, preferably within a traditional or alternative asset management firm.
  • Sound understanding of alternatives, particularly private credit and equity.
  • Ability to cultivate and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate complex operational processes.
