**Job Title:** Critical Facility Operations Engineer

The role of a Critical Facility Operations Engineer is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our data centers. This involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical infrastructure.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in managing vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading works in large-scale critical environments. They must also be able to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster and have strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to take our data center engineering operations to the next level.

Responsibilities include meeting daily hours of operations, on-call requirements, and response during rotations, managing minor and major planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure, preparing reports on all aspects of the data center facility infrastructure operations and maintenance, generating change management requests & incident management tickets for DCEO activities, coordinating with DCO managers (IT), Networking, Logistics, Safety, Security and other business leaders and operating partners to execute projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.

As a Critical Facility Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed by contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation. You will also oversee the day-to-day operational excellence, maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.

In addition, you will review and follow the documentation relevant to technical support of business & facility operations, implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability, support operating partners in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering issues, provide operational readings and key performance indicators to make sure uptime is maintained, and perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility management.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school or equivalent diploma;
  • 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience;
  • Ability to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster;
**Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, having 2+ years of data center engineering experience, experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems, and experience in management of vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance and upgrading works in large-scale critical environment would be beneficial.
