The role of Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist involves performing diagnostic semen analysis tests and routine laboratory duties to ensure the smooth functioning of our laboratory.


  • Performing all semen diagnostic tests in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Receiving and registering lab specimens.
  • Responding to customer inquiries.
  • Ensuring compliance with good laboratory practice and lab safety requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A diploma or degree in life sciences/biotechnology/biomedical science or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in diagnostic molecular biology is an advantage.
  • The ability to work independently as well as a team.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information discreetly.

Scope in Andrology:
  • Semen Analysis: performing detailed microscopic and macroscopic examination of semen, including sperm count, motility, morphology, DNA fragmentation, and other factors essential for evaluating male fertility.
  • Specimen Collection and Handling: ensuring proper collection, labeling, and handling of delicate and sensitive reproductive specimens to preserve sample integrity.
  • Use and Maintenance of Specialized Equipment: operating specialized devices such as microscopes and centrifuges.
