Amblyopia Specialist

The role of an Orthoptist at the Singapore National Eye Centre involves working in a dynamic team, conducting general orthoptic examinations and paediatric ophthalmology sessions. Key responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive assessments and reporting to formulate diagnoses and proposed management plans for paediatric/general/private Ophthalmologists.
• Binocular vision assessments and other binocular vision testing.
• Diagnosing, identifying, and supporting treatment in Amblyopia Clinic and Fusion and Accommodation Clinic, managing patients and providing Counselling.
• Orthoptic specific assessments and clinical practice on prescription of Fresnel prisms.
• Participating in Orthoptic Education teaching and research projects.

Requirements: Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences (Orthoptics). Be proficient in spoken and written English. Have excellent communication skills to work with children of different age groups. Entry level applicants are welcome to apply. Be comfortable working in various satellite clinics in Singapore.
