Job Title: Research Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary team at Nanyang Technological University. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating neuroprotective playful learning interventions for cognitive and socio-emotional mathematical competency development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on topics related to neuroprotection, learning environments, and educational psychology.
  • Collect and analyze data using digital biomarkers and other relevant measures for pre-school learners.
  • Manage multiple aspects of the research project, including project management, liaising with stakeholders, data collection, and analysis.
  • Disseminate research findings through academic publications, research presentations, and outreach activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators.
Requirements:
  • A Master's or equivalent degree in education, psychology, neuroscience, learning environments, or a related field.
  • Strong background in research methodology, with experience in designing and conducting empirical studies.
  • Expertise in learning environments, development, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with design principles and planning tools that are used in creating learning environments.
  • Familiarity with digital biomarkers, data analytics, and machine learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and familiarity with software like SPSS, R, or Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience working with young children and families is preferred but not required.
