Financial Controller

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at AMICI EVENTS & CATERING PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our finance function and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet schedules
* Conduct variance analysis of actuals against budget/forecast and develop action plans
* Ensure adherence to uniform accounting practices and adequate internal controls
* Manage and provide supervision and guidance to Finance staff
* Review daily financial transactions on ERP system
* Monitor AR, AP, including other receivable and payable, prepayment and accrual
* Prepare and ensure that monthly various closing related reports and schedules are compiled and submitted on a timely manner
* Ensure that all intercompany balances and transactions are properly reconciled monthly

**Statutory Reporting, Audit and Tax**

* Liaise with Management and internal and external auditors on finance and tax related matters
* Assist in tax compliance and statutory matters, liaising with statutory bodies and providing explanation on movement of accounts, filing statistics and etc.

**Cash Flow Management and Forecast**

* Assist in evaluating new business/outlet expansion opportunities and perform analysis and audit for business acquisitions
* Direct and control all financial and accounting systems to ensure timely and reliable financial services and information flow
* Responsible for the proper management of the company's cash funds and resources and maintain a set of records concerning banking arrangements

**Internal Controls**

* Oversee Finance functions and ensure their operating effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Review financial control systems, policies and procedures by identifying weaknesses and recommending improvement

**Requirements**

* Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent professional qualifications
* 1-2 years experience, preferably in F&B industry with managerial capacity. Audit experience is an added advantage
* Strong analytical skills and meticulous and proficient in MS Office, especially strong MS Excel skills
* Able to multi-task and prioritise work scope efficiently
* Familiar with general accounting principles, regulations, compliance requirement, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
