As a senior professional, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of CAAS Technology Office. Your primary objective will be to develop and implement innovative strategies that enhance Singapore's competitiveness as an international air hub.

The office oversees innovation programmes and initiatives for existing and emerging areas in aviation, including air traffic management, airport operations, unmanned aircraft systems, and sustainable aviation. Within each area, your work will involve:

  • Developing comprehensive innovation strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of Singapore's aviation sector
  • Translating these strategies into actionable programmes, projects, and initiatives, including roadmap development, securing funding, and establishing ecosystem-wide innovation enablers
  • Overseeing capabilities development for local industry and research institutes to support the aviation sector's needs

As a leader in this role, you are expected to:

  • Develop and implement technology/innovation strategies that align with CAAS' strategic priorities and objectives
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of projects and initiatives to support these strategies
  • Build stakeholders' confidence and buy-in for projects and initiatives under your charge
  • Manage projects and initiatives to ensure they deliver the committed impact and outcomes

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in airport-related operations, especially airside operations
  • Proven track record in developing operational-technology roadmaps and managing their implementation
  • Familiarity with schemes and processes administered by the National Research Foundation, Singapore
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills to drive win-win outcomes for stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and build consensus

Appointment designation will commensurate with relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
