Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Risk Manager to safeguard our business from potential financial losses and maintain a healthy loan portfolio. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our lending activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in our lending activities.
- Monitor and evaluate credit, market, operational, and regulatory risks associated with the auto finance business.
- Conduct risk assessments and analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Develop risk management frameworks and methodologies to ensure a systematic and consistent approach to risk identification, measurement, and mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure risk management practices are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.
- Monitor and assess credit portfolios, identifying potential credit risks and early signs of credit deterioration.
- Analyze loan data and trends to identify patterns and potential risks.
- Implement risk monitoring tools and systems to track and report on risk exposures.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, regulators, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver risk management training programs to enhance risk awareness and knowledge within the organization.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Underwriting team to establish appropriate lending criteria and credit risk assessment models.
- Identify emerging risks and recommend proactive measures to manage and mitigate them.
- Conduct stress tests and scenario analyses to assess the impact of adverse events on the loan portfolio.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as insurance providers and credit rating agencies, to manage risk exposures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies in all risk management activities.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Risk Manager or in a similar risk management role, preferably in the auto finance industry or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Knowledge of credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and regulatory risk.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards in the financial industry.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools, methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and make informed risk management decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in using risk management software and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with risk assessment models and tools.
