Senior Director of Index Operations

A highly influential role that plays a pivotal part in maintaining our position as Asia's leading financial marketplace. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and innovation of index products that serve as benchmarks for regional and global markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence:
    • Lead daily index calculation, maintenance, and publication processes across all indices,
    • Manage end-to-end index operations including corporate actions processing, index reviews, and constituent changes,
    • Ensure high reliability and accuracy in real-time index calculation systems,
    • Support compliance with global index governance standards and best practices, including IOSCO principles,
    • Drive innovation in index methodology and product development to meet evolving market needs and regulatory requirements,
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customers including asset managers, ETF providers, and index users,
    • Support business development initiatives to expand index licensing and commercialization opportunities.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team of index analysts, operations specialists, and technology professionals,
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence,
    • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members,
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Technology, Risk Management, Market Operations, and Business Development.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
    • Ensure full compliance with MAS regulations and international index governance standards,
    • Manage regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate with compliance teams,
    • Oversee index methodology documentation and maintain transparency in index operations,
    • Lead internal and external audits related to index operations.
