Expert Frontend Developer Wanted

Job Role:

A successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern frontend development techniques and technologies, enabling them to craft complex frontend applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key areas of focus for this position include developing high-performance, reusable, and scalable frontend solutions using modern web development methodologies. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for architecting and implementing responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that meet the highest standards of usability and visual appeal.

Collaboration with UX designers and backend engineers is crucial to translating business requirements into technical solutions. In addition, the chosen candidate will champion best practices in frontend development, including code quality, testing, and documentation, while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

Mentorship and code reviews are essential to maintaining high code quality standards. Participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to technical planning and architecture discussions are also vital aspects of the role.

Troubleshooting and debugging production issues while maintaining system stability are critical responsibilities of this position.

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience is required.
  • Strong expertise in state management solutions and modern React patterns is essential.
  • A profound understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is necessary.
  • Experience with frontend build tools, package managers, and version control systems is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend testing frameworks and methodologies is a must.
  • Experience working in agile environments with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) is expected.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams are also necessary.

While not mandatory, experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure, container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon EKS, micro-frontend architecture, server-side rendering and static site generation, Singapore Government IT projects, SingPass and CorpPass integration, familiarity with Singapore Government Technology Stack (SGTS), experience implementing government security policies and guidelines, knowledge of government digital service standards and best practices, experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools, and GraphQL can be beneficial.
