Job Title: Aluminium Structure Design Specialist

The role of the Aluminium Structure Design Specialist involves the design and development of aluminium structures, as well as the coordination of technical activities with clients and vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and checking design drawings and material take-off, and performing structural analysis and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing aluminium structures: Developing detailed designs and specifications for heavy structures made of aluminium alloy, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Technical liaison: Coordinating with clients and vendors on technical issues related to project execution, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Project planning and execution: Collaborating with project teams to plan and execute projects, ensuring that timelines are met and budgets are managed effectively.
  • Quality control: Supervising and checking design drawings and material take-off to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Structural analysis: Performing structural analysis and preparing reports to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in structural/marine/naval architecture/civil/engineering is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design in the offshore/marine/civil industry is preferred.
  • Skills and qualifications: Strong technical skills and knowledge of international structural design codes, standards, and software packages are essential. Excellent written and spoken English skills are also required.
  • Training: Training will be provided on aluminium design for the right candidate.
