Job Title: Chinese Childcare Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chinese Childcare Teacher to join our team at Brilliant Tots Academy PTE. LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and carrying out age-appropriate activities for children, preparing learning corner materials, and ensuring a safe environment for children at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and carry out age-appropriate activities for children, including arts and crafts, music, and movement.
  • Prepare learning corner materials, including handmade and teacher-aide materials.
  • Ensure that lesson materials are prepared in advance and carried out in a timely manner.
  • Conduct lessons using the centre's curriculum and evaluate lesson plan evaluations on a weekly basis.
  • Treat children with respect and ensure a safe environment is provided at all times.
  • Supervise daily routines for children, including showering and toothbrushing.
  • Evaluate and document children's learning and growth process, providing monthly updates to the Centre Principal.
  • Prepare weekly activity plans using the centre's curriculum and follow the timetable closely.
  • Establish good teamwork with staff and team members, showing patience and building good rapport with children.
  • Participate and assist the Centre Principal in planning festive events, celebrations, and activities for the centre.
  • Prepare children for graduation ceremonies and prepare graduation speeches, dance items, etc. for older children.
  • Prepare portfolios to evaluate and update parents on children's developmental growth.
  • Ensure children are under supervision at all times, including during lessons with external vendors.
  • Build and maintain effective communication with parents, updating attendance and checking in with parents when attendance is poor.
  • Ensure the classroom, cupboards, and table tops are kept neat and clean at all times.
  • Work closely with the Centre Principal and/or Senior teacher, ensuring classroom materials and supplies are maintained in good condition.
  • Follow the centre's SOP (Medication, Accident, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience in childcare or teaching young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience and ability to build good rapport with children.
  • Ability to follow centre's curriculum and policies.
