Job Title: Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to lead our security operations and provide expertise on security technologies and innovative security concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective security strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations:

  • Contribute to the definition of the overall security strategy and align security operations functions with the organisation's overall business objectives.
  • Advise senior leaders on critical issues that may affect corporate security objectives and provide technical and operational oversight for security tool deployment and implementation.
  • Develop plans for monitoring security systems and responding to cyber security incidents, and guide the identification and measurement of critical security operations metrics.
  • Monitor levels of service of the security operations and present periodic status reports to management.

Security Governance:

  • Oversee planning and coordination of 24 x 7 security operations coverage and coordinate ongoing reviews of existing security programs/protocols and planned upgrades.
  • Monitor compliance to security policies, regulations, rules and norms and drive continuous improvement of security operations.
  • Set internal guidelines for effective processing and escalation of incidents and review reports on incidents and breaches.
  • Develop contingency and disaster recovery plans for specific security incidents and coordinate prioritisation of alarms and resources for incident responses.

Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee department management including budgets, forecasting, work allocations and staffing and develop staff through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions.
  • Define common goals, direction and accountability among staff and drive effective performance management practices within department in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Good diploma or degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensic or Engineering preferred.
  • Professional security certification is preferable, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or other similar security certifications.
  • At least 10 years of IT security experience in areas of security governance, risk management, application security design, security project management or security operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Added advantage to have knowledge in security technology like firewall, IPS, WAF, endpoint.
