Exercise Physiologist and Sports Medicine Specialist

Sports medicine services under the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to support our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with national athletes, dancers, or develop exercise testing and prescription programmes for healthy and clinical populations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist sports physicians in the application of physical activity and behavioural interventions scientifically proven to provide therapeutic or functional benefit. Key responsibilities include developing exercise testing and prescription programs for various populations, conducting audits to track outcomes, and participating in research activities. Additionally, they will be involved in continuing medical education programs for clinical staff and trainees, as well as the public. Further training, including attachments to other sports medicine and science institutes, may be required.
Requirements
A good university degree in a related science discipline, such as Sports Science, Human Movement, or Kinesiology, is essential. Preferably, the candidate will have 3 years of experience working as an Exercise Physiologist in a clinical setting. Working experience with national athletes and/or dancers or dance experience is highly desirable.
