Job Description
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The Front Desk Assistant Manager will oversee the front office activities between the guest, the hotel, and various departments to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
This role involves supervising the front desk operations during assigned shifts to a consistently high standard. The incumbent will ensure their shift team has a current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers, as well as daily VIP and special events.
A key responsibility of this role is conducting pre-shift briefings and advising the shift team of any special events or VIP guests in the hotel that day.
The Front Desk Assistant Manager will also assign daily shift tasks and ensure their completion by every end of the shift. They will maintain and update guest history and marketing database as required.
This role requires excellent supervisory, inter-personal, and communication skills. The incumbent must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines, with a calm and organized work ethic.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Front Office experience in the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
- Strong commercial/business awareness and demonstration of sales capabilities
- Excellent supervisory, inter-personal, and communication skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
- A relevant supervisory/management certificate/diploma or degree, preferred
