TikTok PTE. LTD., a leading global e-commerce company, is seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient, highly scalable backend services and systems for our domestic and global TikTok Shop E-commerce platform.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure backend services using Java/Golang/Python/C++.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing efficient, highly scalable, and secured services to build/integrate logistics systems for domestic and global TikTok Shop E-commerce.
  • Optimizing backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency, and scalability.
  • Delivering best-in-class engineering excellence practices across all product engineering disciplines.
  • Researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies), or related discipline.
  • Experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang/Python/C++.
  • Strong software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style.
  • Deep understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, and highly scalable systems design.
  • In-depth knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka etc.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.

Our technology also helps our third-party logistics partners improve their operations, ensuring orders reach our customers faster and cheaper, and reducing fault tolerance throughout an order's journey from seller to buyer.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per annum
