Junior FFE Designer

The Junior FFE Designer is a critical member of our design team, responsible for collaborating closely with colleagues to develop and refine FF&E designs. This involves working together to conceptualize and create furniture layouts, perspectives, and 2D/3D renderings that meet contractual and client agreement requirements.

  • Conceptualize and develop FF&E design concepts in collaboration with the design team.
  • Prepare comprehensive FF&E presentations, including materials and finishes.
  • Develop furniture layouts, perspectives, and 2D/3D renderings in coordination with the design team.
  • Evaluate designs against contractual and client agreements.
  • Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
  • Compile full sets of FF&E specifications and documentation for tender and construction drawings.
  • Review and approve shop drawings from suppliers and contractors.
  • Participate in site meetings and factory inspections to assess materials and furniture.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in FF&E, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Creativity and artistic flair.
  • Experience handling projects across all design phases, with knowledge of site work and progress an asset.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including composition, planning, materials, details, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Meticulous, able to work effectively as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max, and SketchUp an advantage.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Mandarin for interaction with Chinese clients.
