Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled mechanical design specialist to fill this role. As a mechanical design specialist, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.

  • You will ensure that technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental, and safety policies are incorporated and followed during work-scopes and mechanical engineering activities.
  • You will support the Engineering Department in reviewing, updating, and applying standards and amendments to external standards.
  • You will plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
  • You will coordinate engineering designs, develop, and review multi-disciplinary workscopes for projects and other engineering activities ensuring comprehensive and clear work-scope.
  • You will review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance. You will liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues.
  • You will develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities, and effective project delivery.
  • You will conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
  • You will review and evaluate Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.

  • Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
  • 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience out of which 6 years should be relatable to Oil and Gas industry.
  • Ability to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and codes related to Mechanical Engineering (Building Services).
  • Proven ability to manage cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
