Transaction Strategy and Due Diligence Career

We're seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Transaction Strategist. In this role, you will work closely with clients to identify key value drivers and challenge assumptions about future performance.

As a Transaction Strategist, you will be responsible for analyzing financial and non-financial information to formulate views and conclusions. You will also assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accountancy and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should also have experience working with clients and be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

  • Assist clients in achieving their strategic goals through transaction strategy and due diligence services.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated service solutions.
  • Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help clients achieve their strategic goals, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets.
  • Advise clients during the due diligence process to identify key value drivers and challenge assumptions about future performance.
  • Work with other EY teams to deliver an integrated service to our clients.
  • Likely to also work on a number of cross border assignments working with other EY offices around the world.
Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Entrepreneurial mind set and business acumen.
  • Passion for helping clients achieve their potential.
  • Able to analyze financial and non-financial information to formulate views and conclusions.
  • Familiar with fundamental concepts of accounting including IFRS.
  • Good presentation skills and prior audit experience would be advantageous.
  • Possess data analysis & critical thinking skills with a flair in MS Excel applications.
  • Transactions/auditing experience.
  • Client facing experience from a professional services background.
