Cable Routing Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Cable Planning Engineer/Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning submarine cable routing in consultation with consortium members, operations staff, and relevant local authorities.
About the Role
- Create comprehensive plans for submarine cable routing that meet regulatory requirements and ensure optimal cable route planning.
- Monitor changes in permitting regulations and implement updates to support effective cable route planning.
- Review and approve route survey results, ensuring they meet project specifications.
- Manage marine incidents, including resolving issues and approving recommendations from onboard ship representatives.
- Attend planning and coordination meetings with authorities and contractors to discuss project progress and address concerns.
- Promote collaboration within the Marine Working Group during the marine installation phase, fostering open communication and information sharing.
- Maintain and update submarine cable 'as-built' and 'as-repaired' route information in the GIS database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and marine survey data interpretation.
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and multi-party project coordination.
